Safety Policy

No commercial or schedule pressure justifies an unsafe act. AKFAL's objective is zero harm to our people, our clients' personnel, the public and the environment.

To meet this commitment, AKFAL will:

  • Comply fully with Saudi HSE legislation and with each client's site-specific safety requirements.
  • Give every employee the authority — and the obligation — to stop work that they believe is unsafe.
  • Induct and train all personnel before mobilisation, and refresh that training on schedule.
  • Assess risk before the job, not after the incident, and control it at source.
  • Provide certified personal protective equipment appropriate to the task, at no cost to the employee.
  • Report, investigate and learn from every incident and near miss without seeking blame.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles so that they are safe to operate, and remove from service anything that is not.
  • Protect the environment by managing waste, emissions and spills responsibly.

Responsibility for safety rests with line management at every level and is a condition of employment for every member of AKFAL personnel.
